Today, most parents are confronted with the compelling pressure to step-up their children’s academic performance to face the reality of ever-increasing, fierce competition from primary school to seek admission to their desired selective secondary school and thereafter to the top universities to read the desired degrees. Therefore, students need to undergo massive paradigm shifts in their methods of studying to step themselves up another level. This presents a conundrum of how students can bring about reaching this paradigm to reach these new horizons in the most efficient and effective manner.
I am an academic motivated by a desire to help others especially students succeed in their endeavours by provision of self-help. After acquiring the accountancy qualification, I was awarded a scholarship to study for my Masters in Business Administration [MBA] in the UK and completed the same to become initially a free lancing Management consultant directing businesses and individuals to succeed. At present, I lecture in mathematics, teaching innovative winning-edge techniques for students to successfully attain new horizons.
It is my observation over the last decade or so that there are many students out there are knowingly or unknowingly suffering from failures, demotivation, low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence, all of whom I seek to help.
I obtained this passion for helping students arose as a result of regular after-dinner chats with my mum in the front garden of our house, who was very dear to me and whom I lost when I was a teenager. The talks encompassed almost all aspects of life including understanding, love, motivation, joy, fortitude, success, power of optimism etc., and the essence of all those discussions were focused on “how triumph of wisdom over ignorance can transform any individual to succeed”.
For all those students suffering from the problems I have listed, I have only this is to say:
YOU ARE POSSIBLE!
After hearing this, you may be asking two questions:
WHAT IS POSSIBLE? AND HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?
The answer to the first question is splendid success.
In my opinion the meaning of success in ordinary words, which can apply to anyone is:
BEING THE BEST –
IN HANDLING THE WORST –
AND ACHIEVING THE BEST.”
The words “handling the worst” indicates the stepped up challenges faced by the student population mentioned earlier which in a nutshell is being “Precise and Concise” well within the very tight “Time Allowed” to answer the question(s).
It is obvious to anyone that students will be at more ease to answer the questions in a precise and concise manner, if they have plenty of time left in their hands by saving the time out of the time allowed to answer questions.
In this blogsite, it is my aim as an academic to strive to disclose how students can achieve saving time when answering maths questions by the application of creative methodologies.
To begin with, I will be posting mathematic blogs on a regular basis on this site aimed at the students in matured levels of primary school getting ready to seek admission to the renowned secondary schools, showing how the “Winning-edge Techniques” in Mathematics could lead to excelling in the mathematic problems with solutions examinations and achieving the highest grades to rise on top, thus successfully beating the fierce competition.
